El Lazo (The Lasso)
🪢 Lazo de Matrimonio
A large rosary or decorative cord placed in a figure-eight around the couple's shoulders, symbolising eternal union and infinity.
- Placed by Padrinos de Lazo — must be a married couple
- Duration: 15–20 minutes during ceremony
- Size: typically 25–30 feet long, 3-inch beads or rope
- Removed after ceremony by Padrinos
- Cost: $80–$200 for ornate rosary lasso
Las Arras (The Coins)

13 gold coins (arras) presented by groom to bride in a decorative box or tray, symbolising prosperity and financial trust.
- 13 coins = Christ + 12 Apostles (Catholic tradition)
- Coins may be gold-plated or ceremonial coin set
- Placed on tray by Padrinos de Arras
- Bride pours coins back into groom's hands
- Cost: $40–$150 for decorative coin set
El Ramo (The Bouquet)
💐 Ramo de la Novia
Bridal bouquet typically sponsored by the Madrina de Ramo. Traditional Mexican bouquets feature vibrant colours — cempasúchil (marigolds), roses, birds of paradise.
- Sponsored by Madrina de Ramo
- Toss bouquet at reception for next to marry
- Some brides keep and preserve the bouquet
- Cost: $150–$500 depending on size and florals
El Brindis (The Toast)
🥂 Brindis Nupcial
The wedding toast — typically with Mexican sparkling wine or tequila. Padrino de Bebidas sponsors all beverages including the toast bottle.
- Cava or sparkling wine for formal toast
- Tequila for traditional family shots
- Mariachi typically plays during brindis
- El Grito (cheer) led by the MC
